Four members of the Drake University men's basketball team collected a total of seven All-Missouri Valley Conference honors during the first round of the league's postseason awards announcements.
Junior Roman Penn, senior ShanQuan Hemphill, junior Darnell Brodie and sophomore Joseph Yesufu all garnered accolades as voted on by a panel of the league's head coaches, media and staff.
Roman Penn – First Team All-MVC
ShanQuan Hemphill – Second Team All-MVC, MVC Newcomer of the Year, All-Newcomer Team, All-Defensive Team
Darnell Brodie – All-Newcomer Team
Joseph Yesufu – MVC Sixth Man of the Year
Penn earned first-team All-MVC honors after averaging 11.
