DES MOINES, Iowa - The Drake University football team's defense had another dominant performance to lead Drake to a 36-6 win over Butler at Drake Stadium Saturday, Oct. 6, to remain on top of the Pioneer Football League standings at 2-0 in league play.
Drake (3-1, 2-0 PFL) allowed only 253 total yards of offense and just 176 through the first three quarters. Butler (3-2, 1-1 PFL) gained only 119 yards on the ground and 134 yards in the air while running 33 more plays than Drake.
Kieran Severa (Lawrence, Kan.) led the way for the Drake with 10 tackles, six solo and four unassisted.
