WICHITA, Kan. – The Drake University men's basketball team outscored Wichita State by five points in the second half but could not overcome a 30-point halftime deficit in a 90-65 loss Wednesday evening at Charles Koch Arena.
Wichita State (13-3, 3-0 MVC) were led by five players in double-figures with Daishon Smith and Shaquille Morris' 13 points leading the way. Defensively, WSU held Drake to just 38 percent shooting on the game while outrebounding the Bulldogs 54-28 with 18 offensive rebounds.
