DES MOINES, Iowa – Another Anna Miller double-double and a huge rebounding edge carried the Drake women's basketball team to a 79-77 victory over Northern Iowa at the Knapp Center on Sunday afternoon.
The Bulldogs built an early 10-point lead, fell behind by six in the third quarter, then clawed their way back to extend their winning streak to seven and beat the Panthers for the 16th time in their last 19 meetings.
Halfway through a four-game homestand, Drake (22-5, 15-1) maintained its two-game lead over second-place Belmont in the league race with four games to play.
