LINCOLN, Neb. – Trailing by eight points at halftime, the Drake men's basketball team gutted out a physical 58-52 win over No. 15 Mississippi State at the Battle in the Vault hosted inside Pinnacle Bank Arena on Tuesday, Dec. 20.
"I was really proud of the guys because we were able to beat them at their own game," head coach Darian DeVries said. "Matching their physicality says a lot about the type of game we played. Our guys did a great job coming out and controlling the glass on the defensive end while limiting our turnovers.
