DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake men's basketball team sent its seniors out in style, racing past Illinois State 82-51 at the Knapp Center on Wednesday night for the Bulldogs' 10th straight victory.
Sophomore Tucker DeVries led the Senior Night effort with 18 points as the Bulldogs (24-6, 15-4 Missouri Valley Conference) remained tied with Bradley for first place, setting up a winner-take-all showdown with the Braves in Peoria on Sunday for the regular-season championship and No. 1 seed in the MVC tournament.
The four seniors who were honored in a postgame ceremony followed DeVries in the scoring.
