- This marked Drake's first win over an Associated Press Top 25 team since earning a 74-69 victory against No. 17 ranked Creighton in Des Moines, Jan. 23, 2013. The Bulldogs had dropped five straight games to top-25 nationally ranked teams (dating back to 2013-14 season) until today.
- Drake improved its overall record to 20-2, marking the third straight 20-win campaign under third-year coach Darrian DeVries and the eighth 20-win season in program history.
- Drake has three-consecutive 20-win seasons for the second time in program history. The Bulldogs last had three-straight 20-win seasons from 1968-69 to 1970-71.
