DES MOINES, Iowa – A one-two-three finish by Notre Dame in the women's 5000 meters and the fastest Drake Relays men's 10K time in 36 years highlighted action during the Thursday night's Distance Carnival at the 111th running of the Drake Relays, presented by Xtream powered by Mediacom.
Notre Dame senior Erin Archibeck led the way for the Fighting Irish as she passed teammate Maddy Denner on the final lap to win the 5000 meters in 16:12.92. Denner, who led most of the race, finished second in 16:16.40 and teammate Katie Rose Blachowicz was third in 16:19.
