Clayberg Wins Drake's Second-Consecutive PFL Defensive Player of the Week Honor

Drake Football Wins PFL Defensive Player of the Week Honor For The Second-Straight Week

Drake University fifth-year senior Nathan Clayberg (Pella, Iowa) has been named the Pioneer Football League's Defensive Player of the Week after leading another stellar defensive outing by the PFL's top defense Saturday.

The honor marks the second-consecutive week a Bulldog has earned the award. Last week, Kieran Severa (Lawrence, Kan.) earned the award following the team's win at Jacksonville.

In Saturday's 36-6 win over Butler at Drake Stadium, Clayberg captained a defensive effort that shut out Butler for nearly 53 minutes and allowed just 253 yards of total offense.
