Two Drake University football student-athletes from nearby Pella, Iowa, have been named to the Associated Press FCS Football All-America Team, the organization announced Tuesday, Dec. 11.
Will Warner, a junior safety, earned first team honors while Nathan Clayberg, a fifth-year senior, was named to the third-team. The pair helped lead one of the FCS' top defenses, ranking in the top 15 nationally in nearly every defensive statistic.
Individually, Warner was second in the nation in interceptions with eight to also tie the Drake program record. He also led the nation in interception return yardage at 223 total yards.
