DES MOINES, Iowa – Drake University football team reported for fall camp in preparation for the 2017 season on Sunday. Practice begins on Monday as the Bulldogs have a handful of acclimation practices before contact begins later in the week.
After ending the 2016 season on a four-game winning streak to go 7-4 and finish third in the Pioneer Football League, the Bulldogs open season against South Dakota (Sept. 2) at Drake Stadium.
Drake head coach Rick Fox begins his fourth season at the helm of the Bulldog program. Fox welcomes back a strong core group, cemented by returning four starters on the offensive and defensive line.
