DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake women's tennis team secured their third victory of the season tonight with a 6-1 triumph over the Kansas City Roos.
Drake sprinted away from Kansas City and improved to 3-1 on the season with the win. The Roos' loss dropped their record to 1-3 for the year.
The day's action started with a pair of doubles wins for Drake. Darinka Stepan and Mille Haagensen took down Kansas City's Michela Xibilia and Laura Munoz-Baroja, 6-3. Ines Stephani and Oriana Parkins-Godwin sealed the doubles point with a victory over Catherine Chrobak and Eva Kresovic.
