DES MOINES, Iowa – Darnell Brodie's best game of the season helped the Drake men's basketball team turn back Omaha for a 78-65 victory at the Knapp Center on Wednesday night.
Brodie scored a season-high 17 points and matched his season best with 11 rebounds as the Bulldogs (8-1) won their 36th straight nonconference game at home. They had to work for it, though.
Omaha (3-7), playing the sixth of seven straight road games, hung around most of the night and the Bulldogs never got comfortable until pulling away in the final 5 minutes.
