ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Drake University softball freshman pitcher Paige Bedsworth earned Newcomer of the Week as announced by the Missouri Valley Conference Tuesday April 5.
Bedsworth recorded her first career start in the circle in the second game of the Bulldogs series with SIU on Saturday April 2. She pitched all six innings and recorded her second win as a pitcher this season.
She played the first three games of last week at second base, where she recorded two put outs.
She recorded seven hits in her 14 at bats over the course of six days.
