IOWA CITY, Iowa - Five top-five performances and two times that rank in the top-10 all-time in the 3,000 meters highlighted the Drake University track and field team's afternoon at the Black & Gold Premier hosted by the University of Iowa.
The men's 3,000 meters saw (Kilcok, Ireland) win the event in 8:14.59, a personal best time that ranks as the fifth-fastest in Drake history. Joshua Yeager (Center Point, Iowa) followed on Kelly's shoulder in second at 8:17.32, the seventh-fastest time in the Bulldog record book. (Maple Grove, Minn.) finished seven seconds later in fourth place with a personal best time of 8:24.
