NEW ORLEANS — The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) established the Collegiate Athlete Hall of Fame for the sports of track & field and cross country. A total of 13 Drake Relays Hall of Fame members are among 30 legendary track & field athletes to be honored on Monday, June 6 at the Hult Center in Eugene, Ore.
The 13 Drake Relays Hall of Famers to be inducted into the inaugural USTFCCCA Collegiate Athlete Hall of Fame are: Jesse Owens, Ralph Boston, Harrison Dillard, Charlie Greene, Randy Matson, Ralph Metcalfe, Rodney Milburn, Bobby Morrow, Jim Ryun, Suzy Favor, Merlene Ottey, Jenny Simpson and Wilma Rudolph.
