Yankees slugger Aaron Judge set doubleheader K record vs. Tigers

DETROIT - Yankees slugger Aaron Judge had a historically bad day against Tigers pitching on Monday.

The 26-year-old outfielder struck out eight times during the Yankees' doubleheader at Comerica Park; five of which came in the Tigers 4-2 win in the nightcap. It's the first time a player recorded eight strikeouts in a doubleheader.

Game 2 of the doubleheader starts at 7:10 p.m.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, strikeouts for hitters were first recorded in 1910 for the NL and 1913 in the AL, so Judge's day really was historically dreadful.
