A late burst of offense helped the Mud Hens overcome a rough relief outing by Matt Manning as they took this series four games to two on Sunday. Matt Vierling joined Manuel Margot, along with John Brebbia in the bullpen, in the Detroit Tigers’ rehab program. Vierling walked twice and struck out once in his first ABs since the beginning of spring training.
Lefty Dietrich Enns got the start over Manning, and so perhaps this finally the start of a full conversion to relief for the 2016 first rounder. Enns was very good once again, tossing five innings of one run ball.
