Blaine Hardy’s season could be over. And so, too, could his time with theDetroit Tigers.
After receiving a second opinion on his sore left elbow from orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews on Monday, Hardy will receive a plasma-rich platelet injection, likely ending his season, Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire said Tuesday afternoon.
“At the end, he said he was actually feeling pretty good on a day-to-day basis,” Gardenhire said.
