Willi Castro and Isaac Paredes stayed red hot on Wednesday

Kyle Funkhouser was blown up and knocked out early in this one, but a furious rally late brought home a win for the Hens. Funkhouser couldn’t even make it out of the first inning, issuing four walks and allowing seven earned runs. The Hens scored two in the second inning via solo home runs by Willi Castro and Mikie Mahtook to get on the board, and reliever Trent Szkutnik settled things down to get the Hens through the fourth inning down five runs. The rally began with the second solo home run of the day, and 11th on the year, for Castro.
