Major League Baseball’s latest reported plan to begin regular season play at some point this summer was reported on Wednesday, with a few eyebrow-raising details.
According to USA TODAY, MLB officials have become “cautiously optimistic” this week that the regular season will start in late June, no later than July 2, and that the 2020 season could consist of 100 regular season games.
