The Detroit Tigers called up left-handed pitcher Ryan Carpenter from Triple-A Toledo as the 26th man for Sunday's day-night doubleheader against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Carpenter will make his major-league debut in the second game of the day. First pitch is scheduled for 6:10 p.m.

Left-handed pitcher Daniel Norris made a start in Lakeland, Fla.
