COMSTOCK PARK - It must be tough being as good as the West Michigan Whitecaps have been this season.
The Detroit Tigers' Class-A affiliate dominated and won the first half of the Midwest League's Eastern Division by five and a half games, lead again in the second half and conclude the regular season at home beginning Saturday. Heading into Friday, they've won five of six.
At 88-44, they have 10 more wins than anyone else in the league and, with four games remaining, can have a shot at equaling the franchise record for wins in a season (92-39 in 1997).
