White Sox 7, Tigers 2: Tigers get trampled by Michael Kopech in series finale

After a heartfelt opening ceremony honoring Hall of Famer Alan Trammell, White Sox rookie Michael Kopech got to work on his own legacy as Chicago dispatched the Detroit Tigers, 6-2. In just his second career start, the highly-touted rookie baffled the Tigers over six impressive innings. Meanwhile, Jordan Zimmerman fell apart in the third inning after getting two outs to put the White Sox ahead early and for good.

Things went south for the Tigers in the top of the third inning, when the White Sox opened with back-to-back singles. Zimmermann looked like he might get out of it after a double play left a runner at third with two outs.
