When will Detroit Tigers' top prospects arrive? Avila gives clues on team's 2020 plan

With multiple top pitching prospects, an impatient fanbase hoping to see them pitch in 2020 and a season abbreviated to just 60 games — allowing those fans (and even the Detroit Tigers front office) to dream about the possibilities, it's no wonder general manager Al Avila was asked essentially the same question five times in five different ways on Wednesday:

"When will the kids get called up?"

Avila, speaking with local reporters on a video call following Major League Baseball’s announcement that play would resume in a month, was mostly noncommital throughout.
