Right-hander Jordan Zimmerman is holding out hope that his next start will be with the Detroit Tigers, which would be his first with the big-league club in nearly two months.
“I’m not sure what the plan is,” Zimmermann said Saturday about when or where his next start would be. “Hopefully I’ll be pitching up here.”
Zimmermann (elbow sprain) last pitched for the Tigers on April 25. The next day he was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right flexor pronator muscle strain.
