Tigers reportedly set to hire Rich Dubee

Detroit — The Tigers are expected to announce 58-year-old Rich Dubee as their new pitching coach, perhaps as early as Thursday.

It was first reported by MLB.com.

Dubee has been the minor league pitching coordinator for the Braves the last two seasons, but he made his mark overseeing star-studded staffs in Florida and Philadelphia.

He was with the Marlins from 1998-2001, working one one season with former Tigers manager Jim Leyland. On his staff were A.J. Burnett and Josh Beckett.
