PITTSBURGH -- The Detroit Tigers have recalled right-handed pitcher Artie Lewicki from Triple-A Toledo to fill their 26th roster spot for Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader.
The Tigers play two games against the Pittsburgh Pirates beginning at 4:05 at PNC Park. Both clubs are allowed to bring up an extra player for the second game.
Lewicki, 26, was drafted by the Tigers out of the University of Virginia in 2014 and made his Major League debut last September. He went 0-1 with a 6.97 ERA with the big-league club after a strong season in Toledo.
