The Mud Hens roared out to an early lead in this one, scoring in each of the first five innings. Jason Krizan, Christin Stewart, and Kenny Wilson homered in consecutive innings to help build an 8-0 lead by the middle of the fifth. No Mud Hens hitter had more than one RBI, but every starter reached base in a full team effort. The pitching was the same way; starter Kevin Comer worked two innings, and Paul Voelker earned the win with two scoreless innings of his own.
