The Toledo Mud Hens were idle on Monday as they head home for a six-game homestand starting with the Norfolk Tides on Tuesday evening.
Alex Faedo’s home run troubles returned, and a valiant effort from his offense wasn’t enough to catch the Squirrels on Monday. Faedo allowed old friend Will Maddox to launch a solo shot in the first inning, but the SeaWolves responded immediately. Derek Hill reached on an error, then stole second and advanced to third on a throwing error before Kody Eaves singled him home. A single, a walk issued, and then a hit-by-pitch to leadoff the second inning spelled real trouble for Faedo and he was lucky to escape with only one run allowed.
