PITTSBURGH -- The Detroit Tigers will use their regular starting nine on Tuesday night in the series opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The only exception, of course, is that designated hitter Victor Martinez will be on the bench in a National League park.
Right-hander Chad Kuhl (2-1, 4.57 ERA) will start for the Pirates against the Tigers' Jordan Zimmermann (1-0, 7.71) at 7:10 p.m. at PNC Park.
Zimmermann is hitting .170 (56-for-330) in his career as a hitter. He hit one home run in 2012.
