PITTSBURGH -- Tuesday night's series opener between the Detroit Tigers and Pittsburgh Pirates has been rained out.
The game was called at 8:45 p.m., an hour and 35 minutes after the scheduled start time.
The game will be rescheduled as part of a traditional doubleheader on Wednesday. The first game will begin at 4:05 p.m. with the second game following shortly after the conclusion of the first.
The Tigers and Pirates were rained out twice during their season-opening series at Comerica Park earlier this year.
This is the seventh time a Tigers game has been postponed due to weather in 2018 (including rescheduled games that were rained out).
