WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – As if there was any question about Anibal Sanchez’s urgency to turn things around, look no further than the visitors bullpen at The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches this morning.
There was Sanchez — not scheduled to throw — throwing a bullpen session to manager Brad Ausmus under the watchful eye of pitching coach Rich Dubee.
Sanchez made the trip to tweak his mechanics, Ausmus said. Or, as specifically as the Detroit Tigers manager would detail, make an adjustment with his arm slot.
The adjustment, Ausmus said, was moving his hand away from his head.
