The baseball world is reacting to the news that Detroit Tigers minor leaguer Chace Numata has died at the age of 27.
Numata died in a Erie, Pennsylvania, hospital on Monday from injuries suffered from a skateboard accident early Saturday morning.
The announcement came just as the Erie SeaWolves, the Tigers' Double-A affiliate, was wrapping up their regular season.
A few former teammates expressed their condolences on Twitter shortly after the announcement.
