West Palm Beach, Fla. — Anibal Sanchez was not scheduled to pitch against the Nationals here Monday, but there he was, some 21/2 hours before the game, working up a lather in the hot sun throwing a bullpen session at the new Ballpark of the Palm Beaches.
Pitching coach Rich Dubee was standing behind the bullpen mound. Catching Sanchez was manager Brad Ausmus.
“I am used to seeing it from that angle,” said Ausmus, who typically catches three or four bullpens a year, some during the regular season. “It’s a little easier for me to judge.
