Tigers get Aybar from Braves for Aviles

The Braves and Tigers exchanged veteran infielders on Tuesday, with Detroit acquiring Erick Aybar from Atlanta for Mike Aviles, plus Minor League catcher Kade Scivicque.

In a separate move, the Tigers recalled outfielder Steven Moya from Triple-A Toledo. Moya will be available for the Tigers' game against the Royals on Tuesday night at Comerica Park.

Aybar batted .242/.293/.313 over 97 games for the Braves this season while serving as the club's regular shortstop. The 32-year-old switch-hitter has improved after a rough start, however, putting up a .289/.346/.396 line since the beginning of June.
