The Detroit Tigers had only one Major League free agent on their roster, and they figure to sign few, if any, this winter.
But the Tigers will be much more active on the minor-league free agent market, seeking to bolster their depth in Triple-A Toledo and hoping to find a few surprises for the big-league club.
