Tigers' Eduardo Rodriguez loses no-hit bid in 7th inning vs. Orioles

Tigers starter Eduardo Rodriguez carried a perfect game into the seventh inning Sunday against the Baltimore Orioles, before Ryan Mountcastle's two-out single in the seventh.

The lefthander had set down the first 20 batters he faced at Camden Yards, registering six strikeouts in a game that remained scoreless heading into the bottom of the seventh.

Rodriguez was seeking to become the first Tigers pitcher to toss a perfect game. There have been eight no-hitters in Tigers history, the most recent thrown in May 2021 by Spencer Turnbull.
