DETROIT -- Right fielder Alex Presley will be the lone left-hander in the lineup for the Detroit Tigers Friday night as they open a three-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Comerica Park.
Former Michigan standout Rich Hill, a left-hander, is pitching for the Dodgers. The Tigers have an MLB-best .846 OPS (on-base plus slugging percentage) against lefties this year, although that total is partially inflated by the now-departed J.D. Martinez.
Tigers catcher James McCann, who hits lefties well, is batting .365 (31-for-85), since July 16, the best mark in baseball among catcher during that span.
