Tigers' Daniel Norris says physical therapy workload is paying off

PITTSBURGH -- Detroit Tigers left-handed pitcher Daniel Norris was encouraged by how he felt after a 40-pitch bullpen session Tuesday at PNC Park.

Norris threw 20 pitches, sat for a while, and then threw 20 more to simulate an inning break.

Norris said he's not sure what the next step is. He might need one more bullpen session before going on a rehab assignment to Triple-A Toledo.

Norris has been on the disabled list since July 6 with a strained groin. He left his second rehab start in the first inning after aggravating the strain on July 23.
