MINNEAPOLIS -- For most of Saturday night, Alex Presley was the Detroit Tigers' only offense.
His teammates finally joined him in the eighth inning, scoring five runs but falling just short of a dramatic comeback as the Minnesota Tigers held on to beat the Tigers 6-5 at Target Field.
Alex Presley smacked a double to score the Tigers' first run in the eight, knocking Twins starter Kyle Gibson out of the game. Then Justin Upton greeted reliever Taylor Rogers with a three-run home run off the foul pole in left.
The Tigers tacked on another run but were hurt by a close call at first base that went against them.
