MINNEAPOLIS — Three years ago, Matthew Boyd stood in front of his locker at The Ballpark of Arlington in Texas, beaten badly once again as his rookie season came to an end.
The Rangers hit three home runs off Boyd that day. They scored six runs in 2 2/3 innings. His ERA stood at 7.53.
