Tigers blog: Pudge throws out first pitch

Pregame: Mr. I tribute, national anthem, Pudge throws out first pitch

Following a touching tribute to late owner Mike Ilitch, the national anthem was performed by the Wayne State University Quartet. The stadium erupted with a flyover from four A-10 Thunderbolts.

Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez threw out the first pitch for Opening Day. He played catcher for the Tigers from 2004-08 and will be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in August. His first pitch, by the way, was a strike.

Baggo and beverages

In addition to baseball, many Tigers' fans love Baggo (or cornhole, as it's also known).
