DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers will activate outfielder Alex Presley from the disabled list before Saturday's game.
To clear space on the roster, the Tigers have optioned Jim Adduci, another left-handed hitting outfielder, back to Triple-A Toledo.
The move signals that the Tigers will stick with a three-man bench and an eight-man bullpen for the time being.
The Tigers placed Presley on the disabled list on July 29 with a side injury and recalled Adduci to replace him.
Presley, 32, has hit .313 (31-for-99) in 34 games with the Tigers this year. He went 3-for-12 in his three-game rehab assignment with the Mud Hens.
