Tigers 6, Red Sox 5: The sweep smell of success

After two dramatic wins, the Tigers were facing off against the Red Sox for the third time this week, and hoping to sweep the series. They had Tarik Skubal on the mound, which certainly helped their case, and the Red Sox were leaning on Hunter Dobbins.

In the first, pesky Rafael Devers got a one-out single. Then equally pesky Alex Bregman singled behind him. A Rob Refsnyder sac fly scored Devers to put the Red Sox on the board first. Skubal collected the final out, but it wasn’t an ideal start to the game. The Tigers went 1-2-3 in the bottom of the inning.
