Nicholas Castellanos hit a walk-off solo home run, the first of his career, to deliver the Detroit Tigers a 4-3 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays at Comerica Park on Sunday afternoon. The victory, just Detroit’s 30th of the season and third of the month of July, was their first at home since a June 29 triumph over the Washington Nationals.
The Blue Jays got to Tigers starter Tyler Alexander early. Freddy Galvis hit a one-out single in the top of the first, and Lourdes Gurriel Jr.
