We’re so back, baby! After a brutal two week stretch, three weeks if you count the series before the all-star break, the Detroit Tigers are out to prove they’re done with this losing stuff. The bats erupted for six doubles, one triple, and three home runs en-route to their first series win since their win over the Rays back on July 8th.
Casey Mize labored through the first inning, giving up a leadoff triple to Corbin Carrol, who then strolled home on a Ketel Marte single. Mize then walked two of the next three batters and was over thirty pitches before getting a strikeout on the splitter and a quick flyout to get out of the mini jam.
