The college baseball season was cut short because of the COVID-19 virus.
But it did not seem to impact the standing of Vanderbilt outfielder Austin Martin, who remains the No. 1 ranked prospect for 2020 MLB draft by Baseball America, which was released Friday.
Martin was also ranked No. 1 before the college baseball season in a mock draft by Baseball America.
“After spending most of his time with Vanderbilt at third base, Martin moved to center field after a few games this spring,” Baseball America wrote. “While he doesn’t have elite speed or the best first step, he has the instincts and athleticism to handle the position.
