For as forgettable of a Detroit Tigers’ season as 2019 has been, at least there was September.
The final month of the season, they hoped, would be different. The Tigers would almost certainly be far out of the American League postseason race by then, but in September, everyone could finally see the first wave of their rebuilding prospects.
