LAKELAND, Fla. – Anibal Sanchez has one goal this year. And it doesn’t have to do with numbers.
Not innings nor wins nor strikeouts — although piling those up would be nice.
“My main focus this year is to get healthy and out of all of the injuries that I had last year,” the Detroit Tigers right-hander said this afternoon in TigerTown.
That was the focus of his off-season, which consisted of physical therapy, loads of lower-body work and tightening up his pitching mechanics, which were out of whack during an injury-plagued 2015 season.
